MANILA – As far as Sponge Cola lead vocalist Yael Yuzon is concerned, things are now okay between him and comedian Vice Ganda.

This after Vice Ganda said he was surprised by an "offensive" comment supposedly made by Yuzon about his "love team" with the rocker's fiancee Karylle.

Dubbed "ViceRylle" by their fans, Vice Ganda and Karylle have formed a "love team" of sorts on the noontime program “It’s Showtime.”

In a text message exclusively sent to “Buzz ng Bayan,” Yuzon said, “I’m just thankful that I was able to talk to Vice and nagkaintindihan na kami. Good vibes for everyone.”

Last week, Vice Ganda narrated that their rift started with Karylle's supposed confession to "It's Showtime" director Bobet Vidanes that Yuzon did not approve of the "Vicerylle" tandem.

"Parang nahi-hurt siya at 'di niya matanggap na sa dinadami na pwedeng i-pair up sa girlfriend niya, bakit bakla pa? Tapos sobra na siyang pissed off na anytime sasabog na at susugod na siya sa studio,” Vice Ganda said.

Referring to the hit segements of "It's Showtime" for members of the LGBT community, Vice Ganda added, "Meron tayong I Am Pogay, meron tayong That's My Tomboy, meron tayong mga ganitong mga segments kasi ini-empower natin ang minority. Binibigyan natin sila ng acknowledgment, ini-empower natin sila. Tapos gano'n ang tingin mo sa akin? Nakaka-offend para sa'yo dahil ang love team ng girlfriend mo ay bakla? Sobra akong na-offend."

Following Yuzon’s statement, “Buzz ng Bayan” also tried to get Karylle’s side but the singer-host chose to remain quiet about the matter.

She, however, posted a picture on her Instagram account on Thursday showing the sign of peace and heart with the caption “choose love.” Many of the singer’s followers believe Karylle’s post meant things are now well among her, Yuzon and Vice Ganda.
