MANILA -- Robin Padilla on Wednesday said he will continue to support embattled senatorial bet Manny Pacquiao but also gave the boxing champ some advice.
Addressing Pacquiao as "my senator," Padilla reminded the athlete-turned-politician that "public service is not selective."
"Protect those who are few, poor and weak. Religion has nothing to do with it or around it. My support to you will not change. I still believe in your heart. Listen to it and trust it always. It will never mislead a HERO," he wrote on Instagram.
Padilla is the brother of Rustom Padilla, who publicly admitted that he is gay on the reality show "Pinoy Big Brother" and is now known as BB Gandanghari.
Although Robin initially did not accept his sibling's decision, they have since reconciled.
For his part, Gandanghari supported calls not to vote Pacquiao in the May elections, calling him "a bigot with a gender discrimination agenda."
