MANILA – Almost a month after he was mauled at a condominium unit in Taguig City, Vhong Navarro made sure to greet his fellow “It’s Showtime” host Anne Curtis, who turned 29 on Monday.
Surprising Curtis via phone patch, Navarro greeted the “Dyesebel” actress a happy birthday and also apologized for not making it to her party on Sunday night.
A surprised Curtis, meanwhile, said she understands why Navarro was not able to go.
“Miss na miss ka na namin dito. We can’t wait na bumalik ka. Very special.
Navarro even cracked a joke that he will be waiting for Curtis at her condominium unit.
“Huwag ka mag-alala Anne, kung hindi man ako nakapunta diyan para batiin ka ng live, mamaya pag-uwi mo sa condo mo nandun na ako,” he said, drawing laughter from the other hosts and the studio audience.
Navarro has been absent from the Kapamilya noontime show since he was attacked by the group of businessman Cedric Lee for allegedly raping model Deniece Cornejo.
Navarro said he hopes to recover soon so he could return to “It’s Showtime.”
