MANILA - Maja Salvador's revenge drama "Wildflower" got a pretty good start last Monday.
According to Kantar Media, the new afternoon teleserye enjoyed an average nationwide audience of 20.1 percent for its pilot and led its rival program, which only received 14.7 percent. It was also among the top trending topics on social media site Twitter while it was on-air.
For its premiere, "Wildflower" introduced to viewers the young and energetic Lily (Xyriel Manabat) and her parents Camia (Sunshine Cruz) and Dante (Christian Vasquez).
Earlier teasers have already revealed that both Lily's mother and father would be murdered after earning the spite of the town's mayor. Lily would then don an alternate persona, which will be portrayed by Salvador.
"Wildflower" is directed by Onat Diaz, Raymond Ocampo and Cathy Camarillo, under the production unit headed by Ruel Bayani.
