MANILA—"La Luna Sangre," the last installment in the popular "Moonstone" trilogy about warring vampires and werewolves, has started counting down to its finale.
In a trailer aired during the series' primetime telecast, "La Luna Sangre" was confirmed to be in its last three weeks on air. Its finale, dubbed "The Apocalypse," promises an action-packed confrontation between rival factions.
Starring Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, "La Luna Sangre" premiered in June 2017 — seven years after the trilogy's last installment, "Imortal," concluded.
The expanded "Moonstone" universe saw the addition of characters Sandrino (Richard Gutierrez) and the mysterious Jacintha ("Moonstone" pillar Angel Locsin).
Produced by Star Creatives, "La Luna Sangre" has swept its 9-month run as the top-rating series in its time slot, peaking at 38.5% in December 2017 with Malia's wolf transformation.
