MANILA – Robin Padilla had nothing but praise for the movie “Meet Me In St. Gallen,” starring his niece Bela Padilla and actor Carlo Aquino.
Robin was one of the many celebrities who watched the special screening of the movie at Trinoma in Quezon City on Tuesday.
On Instagram, Robin congratulated Bela for her convincing portrayal of Celeste.
“Aking mahal na pamangkin, napakagaling ng iyong pagganap. Malinaw na malinaw sa akin ang pagkababae ni Celeste lalo ang kanyang pagiging direct to the point. Hindi ko masisi si Jesse kung bakit nabaliw siya sa iyo,” he wrote.
Bela, for her part, told her uncle how much his presence at the screening meant to her. “Thank you Tito Robin for watching sobrang na-appreciate ko po!” she said.
Meanwhile, Robin also spoke highly of Aquino, saying he is a fine actor.
“Napakahusay ni Carlo Aquino nanumbalik lahat ang mga masasarap na ganap at masasakit na hiwalayan sa buhay ko,” he said.
Aside from the lead stars, Robin also congratulated Joyce Bernal and Piolo Pascual for producing a non-conventional movie.
“Bilib talaga ako sa inyo (direk Joyce) at (Piolo) wala kayo sa normal at commercial. Boses kayo ng mga taong abnormal na katulad natin,” he said.
As for film director Irene Villanueva, he said: “Napaiyak mo ako na may ngiti sa puso at magagandang alaala ng mga naging pag ibig.”
"Meet Me in St. Gallen" is from the same producers behind last year's breakout hit, "Kita Kita."
It is about two strangers who meet again years later after deciding to part ways following their "perfect night" with one another.
