MANILA – Singer Karylle chose to keep mum amid rumors that she and her boyfriend of three years, Sponge Cola vocalist Yael Yuzon, have already set a date on when they will tie the knot.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News over the weekend, Karylle remained evasive when asked about their supposed wedding, saying simply that “everyone deserves to be happy.”

“I think it’s in recognizing that you have great things in your life and you start being thankful and everything flows easily. Wala nang mga blocks. Life is great,” she said.

Yuzon, on the other hand, just said that their wedding will probably come in the near future.

“Basically, every day is an ultra blessed... Kasal, eventually. It will get there. Very soon maybe, you’ll never know,” he said.

For now, both Karylle and Yuzon said they are very happy for their showbiz friends who have decided to settle down, such as the newly married Drew Arellano and Iya Villania.

Rather than talking about their personal lives, Karylle was more open in sharing that she recently composed a song which made it to Yuzon’s album.

“I composed one song here. Sabi ko nga, yayaman na ako, meron na akong kanta na nasa rock album,” she said.

“It’s ’One Rice.’ Yael was helping me with my diet and I love rice kasi and he was trying to get me eat kamote. So I picked up the guitar, nag-strum ako, I don’t know how to play the guitar so well. I came out with a song about my love for rice. That’s just one of the silly things that we like to do,” she added.

As of the moment, Karylle and Yuzon said they are just grateful that they have blessed careers and happy lives.
