MANILA -- Actress-host Iza Calzado doesn't mind playing second lead in Star Cinema's upcoming movie "Staring Over Again" with Piolo Pascial and Toni Gonzaga as the lead stars.

"Siyempre alam naman natin, Toni Gonzaga is Toni Gonzaga. She's a blockbuster-hit kind of actress. I mean, she sells tickets and I understand why they gave her a very big role like that. And Piolo Pascual is Piolo Pascual," Calzado said in an interview with Karen Davila on ANC's "Headstart" on Monday.

"As an actress I also know my own (place). I mean, I'm good enough to act in Olive Lamasan things and good enough to be in that movie and play a crucial character."

In "Starting Over Again," which is directed by Olivia Lamasan ("Milan," "The Mistress"), Calzado plays Patty, whose relationship with college professor Marco (Pascual) is put to the test when he crosses paths with his ex-girlfriend, Ginny (Gonzaga).

"My character kasi is very tricky. They want the people to love me still. So I knew they got me for good reason," Calzado said.

"Ang swerte ko na lang din na napabilang ako sa pelikulang ito at nandon ako sa poster. May poster pa nga tatlo kami."

"Starting Over Again" opens in theaters nationwide on February 12.

Aside from "Starting Over Again," Calzado is also busy with "The Biggest Loser Pinoy Edition Doubles," which will debut on February 3 after "The Legal Wife."
