MANILA, Philippines – Young actress Julia Montes on Sunday denied rumors saying she and actor Coco Martin are already a couple.

But that could change soon when Montes turns 18.

In a live interview with “The Buzz” on Sunday, Montes admitted that she and Martin have developed a close relationship because they have been working together since the top-rating series “Walang Hanggan.”

“Yung closeness, talagang mas naging close kami ngayon. Makulit kasi talaga si Coco,” she said.

Saying Martin is really caring on and off camera, Montes revealed that the actor even has a closer relationship with her grandmother.

Montes will be turning 18 in March and in a previous interview, Martin declared that he won’t court Montes because she is not yet of legal age.

Asked how she would react if the actor really pursues her after her debut, Montes said: “Hindi ko alam. Wala pa namang 18 eh.”

Meanwhile, Martin explained that he does not want to get into something which he feels he has no chance of success.

On Enchong-Julia

Meanwhile, Montes denied that Martin was the reason why she had a falling out with actor Enchong Dee.

“Wala pong ganun. Hindi rin naman namin pinag-uusapan si Enchong. Hindi naman sa hindi [na kami] nag-uusap [ni Enchong] pero nagkikita naman kami like sa ‘ASAP,’” she said.

As for Martin, he said he did not even know that Montes and Dee had a relationship.

Montes and Martin are currently promoting their upcoming movie together. Titled “A Moment In Time,” their movie is slated to hit cinemas nationwide on February 13.
