MANILA – “Ang Probinsyano” has set another all-time high rating.
According to data from Kantar Media, the primetime series recorded a 45.9 percent rating in terms of nationwide audience share for its Monday episode.
This is a few notches higher than its January 28 record of 43.7 percent.
In an interview with entertainment site Push, lead star Coco Martin said he is thankful that his show is consistently receiving good feedback from its viewers.
"Nakakatuwa kasi sabi ko nga mag dere-derecho na mabuhay ulit ang action film para marami tayong matulungan, lalong lalo na 'yung mga stunt man, mga action director, di ba?" he said.
In the show’s latest episode, guests, who are mostly foreigners, excitedly waited for the young women presented by the human-trafficking syndicate.
Cardo (Martin), who was disguised as Paloma, confidently went on stage and waved to the guests. Paloma danced, encouraging guests to bid higher prices.
At the end of the bidding, a foreigner paid half a million pesos for a night with Paloma.
After the auction closed, Paloma blew his cover and revealed his real identity as a police officer.
