MANILA, Philippines -- Without words, two women caught in a bitter feud renewed their bond as sisters in the final episode of the primetime series "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan".

In the final scene of the Kapamilya soap aired Friday night, Andrea (Iza Calzado) and Veronica (Andi Eigenmann) finally reconciled after a long-waged feud set in motion by sharing one man in love.

Now behind bars for conspiring to kidnap Andrea's son, Veronica is visited by her old friend in jail. There, fond memories of their friendship move Andrea to forgive her "sister" for her vicious schemes to win Rafael's (Jake Cuenca) affections.

In jail, Veronica also finally forgives her mother, Belen (Assunta de Rossi), for leaving her as a child. Her mother's care in spite of her situation moves Veronica to realize her wrongdoings.

"Napakahirap na sa ganitong lugar at sitwasyon ko pa kailangang matutuhan ang lahat, sa lugar na kung ituring ng marami ay libingan ng mga buhay," Veronica says.

"Kung meron akong panghihinayangan, iyon ay ang pinuno ko ng galit ang puso ko. Kung sana lang... napakaraming sana. Kung alam ko lang sana ang mga bagay na alam ko na ngayon, marami sanang hindi nangyari," she says.

Consumed by love himself, Rafael's move to kidnap his own son with Andrea leads to his demise. A year before Veronica lands imprisonment, Rafael is seen being shot by police after he is mistaken to be drawing a gun.

In a letter he wrote before his death, Rafael says, "Pinapalaya ko na kayo sa mga obligasyon ninyo para sa 'kin, at sa lahat ng sama ng loob na binigay ko sa inyo. Salamat sa pag-aalaga niyo sa akin."

In grief, Rafael's father Miguel (Gabby Concepcion) decides with his wife Andrea to leave their home, which has seen more bitter memories than good.

At Rafael's grave, Andrea finally makes peace with the man she once loved -- the same man who forced himself on her at a desperate time. Here, Miguel also encourages his wife to finally make amends with his adoptive daughter, Veronica.

Having started in July last year, "Kahit Puso'y Masugatan" ran for almost seven months.

Directed by Wenn Deramas, the series was seen as the comeback project of Eigenmann after her pregnancy, and was billed as the first full-length TV project of Calzado as a newly-signed ABS-CBN talent.

"Kahit Puso'y Masugatan" also starred Jaclyn Jose, Malou de Guzman, Barbara Perez, Cris Villanueva, DJ Durano, Jenny Miller, Pamu Pamorada, Kit Thompson, Myrtle Sarrosa, Yves Flores, Marx Topacio, Joey Paras and Manuel Chua.
