MANILA, Philippines – PBA star James Yap said he’ll remain supportive of his son’s breaking into show business.

Yap said he will never block his son Bimby’s ambition to become a movie star, especially after the latter’s movie, “My Little Bossings”, became a box office hit.

Kung anong gusto ng anak mo susuportahan mo, wag mong kontrahin,” said Yap, during the unveiling of a sports management agency in Taguig on Thursday.

Bimby is Yap’s son with his estranged wife, Kris Aquino.

The San Mig Coffee shooting guard said his only wish is for his son not to forego his schooling like other child actors do.

So wag lang pababayaan ang pag-aaral,” he said.

Yap was so supportive of Bimby’s first starring role that he held a block screening of "My Little Bossings" at the Gateway Mall in Cubao.

[Pero] kung gusto n'yang magbasketball, mas OK,” he said in jest.
