MANILA - James McVey, the lead guitarist of British pop band "The Vamps," has a request for Kapamilya actress and "Dolce Amore" star Liza Soberano.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News' MJ Felipe on Friday, McVey admitted that he personally invited Soberano through a text message to come and watch their concert at the Mall of Asia Arena Saturday night.

"We spoke a couple of weeks ago and I'm gonna text her tonight so hopefully we'll see each other in the concert," McVey said. "Liza, if you're watching, I'll sing to you tomorrow at the show."

McVey met Soberano when his band made a guest appearance on the Sunday variety show "ASAP." He posted a selfie with the actress on his Instagram account with a caption that read: "You were so lovely."
