MANILA, Philippines – Actress Angel Locsin chose not to further comment on the alleged rift between her and actress Angelica Panganiban.
Saying “ayaw ko magsalita na lang,” the actress evaded ABS-CBN News when she was asked what she wants to say about their supposed tiff.
It was reported weeks ago that Locsin got hurt after Panganiban slapped her hard and pulled her hair in one of the confrontation scenes in their movie “One More Try.”
Reacting to this, Panganiban said she only wanted to make the scene more realistic.
"Alam mo, 'yung mga ganoong eksena, mahirap siya. Kapag pineke mo 'yun mas halata, mas nakakatawa lang 'yung kalalabasan ng eksena. So mahirap dayain ang mga ganoon," she explained.
"Sabi ko nga kung may mapipikon o magagalit eh napaka-unprofessional naman para maramdaman ng artista 'yon, na personal-in ang eksena," Panganiban added.
Despite this, Panganiban was honest enough to admit that she and Locsin did not become close friends after filming "One More Try," but hopes that they will have more time to "bond" in the future.
People of the Year award
Setting aside the issue, Locsin, meanwhile, thanked People Asia magazine for choosing her to be one of its People of the Year.
“Hindi ako makapaniwala nung sinabihan ako nito. Nakita ko kung sino pa yung ibang paparangalan ng ganito, hindi ko ine-expect na mahahanay ako sa kanila,” she said.
Locsin said it means a lot to her when people respect and value her hard work.
“I’m grateful na naisipan ng People Asia na isama ang pangalan ko sa listahan. I’m thankful na na-appreciate nila at nirerespeto nila ang trabaho kong pinaghirapan,” she said.
