MANILA - A cryptic message posted Sunday by Vina Morales on her Instagram page has stirred speculation about her ties with former partner Cedric Lee, who has been accused of leading an attack on actor-host Vhong Navarro.
"No need for revenge. Just sit back & wait. Those who hurt you will eventually screw up themselves & if you're lucky, God will let you watch," the post read.
As of writing, the image already had over 3,400 likes and more than 240 comments.
Another post read: "Sometimes it's best to stay quiet. The silence can speak volumes without ever saying a word."
As they were posted on Sunday, the same day Navarro's interview on "Buzz ng Bayan" detailing the mauling incident aired, the images drew speculation among Morales' Instagram followers that it pertained to Lee.
In his interview, Navarro said he was blindfolded, tied up, and beaten up by "six or seven" men, including Lee, after being invited by model Deniece Cornejo to visit her at a condominium in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig.
Navarro filed criminal charges against them on Tuesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, Lee accused Navarro of "twisting the facts," saying the host's account of the incident is an exaggeration. Cornejo, meanwhile, maintained that Navarro attempted to rape her and that she will file the appropriate charges against him.
Morales, who has a four-year-old daughter with Lee, said in August in an interview with ABS-CBN News' Mario Dumaual that she is a member of the "9262 Club."
The term refers to the Philippine Republic Act 9262, more commonly known as the Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children Act of 2004.
While Morales refused to divulge details of her "membership" at the time, she did confirm that she was involved in a court case but did not say whether the case was related to RA 9262.
At the time, Morales said she was willing to face the court for the benefit of her daughter. "Pagdating diyan, ang lahat gagawin mo para sa anak mo, what's best for her," she had said.
