MANILA -- In these exclusive photos taken by ABS-CBN News, actor-host Vhong Navarro is seen making a sworn statement on Tuesday afternoon prior to the filing of cases against the group of businessman Cedric Lee and and model Deniece Cornejo, who allegedly beat him up inside a condominium unit in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig last week.
Navarro had difficulty conferring with the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), as he had just undergone a five-hour nose operation on Monday night.
The "It's Showtime" mainstay was assisted by his legal counsel, Atty. Alma Mallonga, and manager, director Chito Rono, in signing the six-page statement on his hospital bed at around 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday.
The camp of Navarro is set to file cases against Lee's group for serious physical injuries, illegal detention, grave threats, unlawful arrest , grave coercion and blackmail. -- Report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
