MANILA -- Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. on Tuesday expressed sympathy for TV host and actor Vhong Navarro, who was allegedly attacked inside a condominium unit in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig last week.
Revilla hopes that a similar incident won't happen again to those in the entertainment industry.
He added that even though he is not close with Navarro, he sympathizes with him, especially after what he went through.
"Kung talagang may nagawa siyang mali dun sa babae, dapat pinakulong na lang siya, hindi yung para babuyin pa siya," the senator said.
Revilla said businessman David Bunevacz once suffered a similar beating and even asked for his help.
He wanted to pursue the investigation on the matter but Bunevacz suddenly left the country out of fear.
He hopes that in the case of Navarro, the truth will come out. -- report from Ruby Tayag, dzMM
