She may be madly in love with fiancée Ryan Agoncillo but Judy Ann Santos is not about to tie the knot just yet with the actor-host.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Santos was caught by surprise when asked about rumors that she and Agoncillo were secretly married.
"Saan nanggaling 'yon? Hindi. Hindi paano naman mangyayari 'yon December umalis ako tapos January, wala pang pangalawang linggo umalis na naman ako, so, no, no, no," she said.
"Hindi ko alam kung saan nangggaling 'yan (kung) sa mga taong excited na talaga masyado o sa mga taong gumagawa (lang) ng istorya pero hindi (totoo yan)."
It will be remembered that Santos went to United States to lobby for her independent movie “Ploning” to be included in the shortlist of Oscars for its Best Foreign Film category.
Santos said she will be the first to confirm to everyone that she is getting married because it is a sin to tell a lie.
"Kasalanan sa Diyos kung ide-deny ko na kasal kami at kasalanan din sa mga tao kung kasal nga kami or hindi. Even kung secretly married kami, one thing or another ay magpapa-interview pa din kami to let everybody know na nagpakasal kami," she said.
The actress also dismissed reports that she will be getting married on her 31st birthday on May 11.
"Alam mo, hindi ko ko nga alam ang gagawin ko sa birthday ko hanggang ngayon. Nandoon kami sa desisyon ng bahay muna kasi hindi kami pwedeng mag-settle down ng wala kaming pupuntahan, na wala kaming maayos na foundation," she said.
The actress reiterated that she and Ryan are setting their sights on their future life together including the possibility of having children.
“Kinabukasan yung iniisip namin. Palagi naming sinasabi ang kasal madali lang yan pero sa amin, pinaghahandaan namin yung buhay ng pamilya namin, yung pamumuhay ng anak namin, ‘yun ang iniisip namin,” she said.
Santos, one of ABS-CBN's foremost drama talents, is set to topbill the teleserye "Humingi Ako Sa Langit." Agoncillo is currently the male lead in the hit teleserye "Pieta" with actress Cherie Gil.
