MANILA, Philippines – Thursday's “Bourne Legacy” shoot included what was supposedly a war scene in South America but shot at Intramuros, Manila.

Foreigners were even cast as extras.

Security was tight at the shooting location and scenes involving Hollywood stars Edward Norton, Jeremy Renner and Rachel Weisz were blocked from the view of the kibitzers.

Even Weisz' Filipino double, Valerie Bondoc, was rarely seen.

Filipino actor Lou Veloso shared a scene with Weisz.

“Isa akong fisherman, tapos may anak ako. Naghahanap si Rachel ng tutulong sa kanya,” Veloso said.

Veloso said he managed to include a young actor he co-starred with in a senakulo.

Veteran theater actor John Arcilla, who is cast as a security guard, said he considers it an honor to be in the Hollywood movie.

“Ang babait talaga nila, walang ere. Never ko naramdaman na Hollywood sila at local actor ako,” he said.

“Bourne Legacy” will continue shooting on Friday in Pasay City.

Zamora Street from EDSA to Protacio will be closed from 5 a.m. to 12 noon. This includes the EDSA southbound lane from Tramo to Taft Avenue.

The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority said traffic enforcers will be in full force to avoid a repeat of Wednesday traffic congestion due to equipment set up along EDSA.

The filming this weekend will be more difficult as they transfer to the MRT and a footbridge along EDSA with 1,500 extras cast for the scene. – Report from Marie Lozano, ABS-CBN News
