MANILA, Philippines - Singer Yeng Constantino has released her fifth album titled "Metamorphosis".
The album, still under Star Records, features the "new Yeng."
"Pagbabago at transformation ang ibig sabihin ng metamorphosis, at doon tungkol ang bagong album ko. Kapag ang isang nilalang dumaan sa metamorphosis, hindi nito tinatanggal kung sino ka talaga, kundi binabago ka nito para maging mas mabuti ka," Constantino said of her newest album.
"It's about not being afraid of who you can be. 'Yan ang best na magde-describe sa bago kong album na merong bagong tunog at masasabi kong bagong Yeng," she added.
According to Constantino, her album's carrier single "B.A.B.A.Y." is one of her best songs as it introduces the "brand new" her.
"Na-showcase po ng song ang halos lahat ng bago sa akin -- new sound, new songwriting, at bagong kabanata sa aking buhay. Siguradong matutuwa po talaga ang mga makikinig at makakanood ng music video ng ‘B.A.B.A.Y.’ dahil mapapasayaw sila sa tunog nito," she said.
Produced by Filipino rock icon Raimund Marasigan, "Metamorphosis" is a 10-track, all-original album that features nine of Constantino's compositions.
Aside from "B.A.B.A.Y.", "Metamorphosis” also features “Hahanapin Kita”, “Josephine”, “Messiah”, “Pasensya Na”, “Sana ‘Di Pa Huli”, "Teleserye”, "Pag-ibig”, and “Sandata”.
It also includes the song “Chinito” which was written by Jed Dumawal.
