Alfie Lorenzo weighs in on couple's 'rocky marriage'
MANILA, Philippines -- The manager of Sunshine Cruz expressed confidence that the actress' marriage to Cesar Montano can still be salvaged, following a recent controversy involving an alleged third party in the couple's relationship.

At the sidelines of his birthday party held Wednesday night, entertainment columnist Alfie Lorenzo told reporters that he had recently spoken to Cruz on her ongoing tiff with Montano.
At least justified," Lorenzo said.
Montano is currently filming "The Turning Cradle: The Untold Story of Alfredo Lim." The actor directs and stars in the biopic of the former National Bureau of Investigation director and incumbent Manila mayor.
Krista Miller, who is accused of being the third party in Montano's marriage, will also appear in the film as Marita Zaragoza.
Last week, Cruz publicly vented her ire against Miller over photos showing gifts allegedly given to the starlet by Montano.
The actress has since sought the counsel of her lawyer, Atty. Bonifacio Alentajan, on her possible "legal options" in connection with her 12-year marriage.
Cesar-Sunshine till 'ending'
On Wednesday, Lorenzo echoed the advice of Alentajan to Cruz, to try reconciling with her husband first before making any legal steps. According to the talent manager, however, the lawyers of both camps are already in talks on possible legal actions.
Nevertheless, Lorenzo is confident that the showbiz couple will overcome the alleged affair.
Ganoon 'yun si Sunshine," Lorenzo said.
The entertainment columnist also cited previous controversies that rocked the showbiz couple's relationship, saying Cruz and Montano have reconciled time and again over alleged third parties.
Hindi niya pagpapalit 'yan kahit kanino, kahit ano," Lorenzo said.
In 2008, Cruz planned to file for the annulment of their marriage, also through Alentajan, after the actor was romantically linked to a teen Brazilian model named Mariana del Rio.
The couple eventually reconciled, with Cruz saying she was willing to give their marriage another try.
