MANILA -- Over 40 Kapamilya stars have arrived in Dubai in time for the first-ever staging of "ASAP" in the Middle East, which will take place on Friday at Dubai Festival City.
"ASAP Live in Dubai," which will air Sunday on ABS-CBN, is produced by The Filipino Channel and will be held as a two-part show, with batches of performances starting at 4 p.m. and later in the same day, at 9 p.m.
Speaking with ABS-CBN Middle East Bureau, "ASAP" mainstay Piolo Pascual referred to the Dubai concert as the program's biggest show outside of the Philippines. The long-running variety show has so far staged five concerts overseas, excluding Friday's event.
Among the singers who will be performing in Dubai are Charice, Bamboo, Jed Madela, Angeline Quinto, Erik Santos, Yeng Constantino, KZ Tandingan, Jovit Baldivino, Marcelito Pomoy, Zia Quizon, Aiza Seguerra, Juris, Princess, Richard Poon and Sitti.
Heartthrob actors, including Pascual, will also take the stage. He will be joined by Sam Milby, Jericho Rosales, Gerald Anderson, Enchong Dee, Enrique Gil, John Lloyd Cruz, Rayver Cruz, John Prats and Richard Yap.
Kapamilya leading ladies set to entertain Filipinos in Dubai include Angel Locsin, Kim Chiu, Julia Montes, Erich Gonzales, Iya Villania, Maja Salvador and Shaina Magdayao.
Toni Gonzaga, Nikki Gil, Luis Manzano and Robi Domingo will host the event.
On their respective social media pages, Kapamilya stars performing at "ASAP Live in Dubai" shared photos of their arrival in the city, their tour of scenic spots, as well as preparations for the historic event.
