MANILA,Philippines – Kapamilya star Sam Concepcion won "The Most Awesome Guest Star" award of 2012 in a morning musical variety show called "Dahsyat" in Indonesia, which airs daily on the RCTI Network.

Confirmed last Tuesday night by his local agent Widya Harsana, Concepcion’s guesting in the Indonesian TV show happened in June last year when he performed a song and dance showcase of "Forever Young" and Chris Brown‘s "Yeah 3X," backed up by the Rocket Crew dancers.

Concepcion immediately made it to the top trending Twitter topics in Indonesia after his guesting.

In an earlier interview with ABS-CBN News, Concepcion said he has decided to "dedicate" his time in establishing a career in Indonesia following the release of his new album in the Philippines.

"I'm releasing my album. It’s totally different from the way I used to sound. It’s a new sound and a new look for me as a recording artist. That’s one thing that my fans can look forward to," Concepcion told Push.com.ph.

"Part of 2013, it will be dedicated to my international career, lots of plans going on in Indonesia for my career there," he added.

Now six years since he won the kiddie talent search "Little Big Star," the singer-actor said it would be his honor to represent the Philippines in the foreign country.

"Of course, a lot of us local Filipino artists would be happy to be known there. I went there this year (2012) a few times which was great. It was good, they were similar to us, they love music a lot and I love performing there," Concepcion said.

Concepcion, who regularly appears on the Sunday variety show “ASAP,” is bound to go back to Indonesia this year to do a number of projects.
