MANILA, Philippines (UPDATED)- A different and more mature Vanness Wu returns to Philippine television beginning January 24 as ABS-CBN premieres Taiwan’s highest rating romantic drama for 2009-2010, “I Love You So (Autumn’s Concerto)”.
From his unforgettable portrayal of Mei Zuo in the phenomenal hit drama “Meteor Garden,” Wu takes on one of his most challenging roles to date in this highly anticipated series opposite actress Ady An.
Asianovela fans online are very excited that the show will finally air on Philippine TV airwaves and even Wu himself expressed excitement via his Twitter account.
“Just heard Autumn’s Concerto will be aired in the Philippines… Ma HaLa Kita- Ma Bu Hai!!!” he tweeted.
The story revolves around arrogant law student Stanley Ren who will fall in love Michelle, the new bento seller at his school canteen, all because of a simple bet.
Their love will instantly be put to test as Stanley discovers he has brain tumor and undergoes a major brain surgery which causes him to lose his memory.
Since she doesn’t approve of Michelle for her son, Stanley’s mother blackmails poor Michelle to stay away from Stanley for good. Michelle has no choice but to obey. Little did she know, however, that she is already pregnant with Stanley’s child.
Six years later, the two meet again. Will Stanley be able to recognize the girl he once loved and the kid who is a living proof of the love they once shared? Can the mind remember what the heart has already forgotten?
“I Love You So (Autumn’s Concerto)" will premiere on Monday, January 24 before “Sabel” on ABS-CBN.
(Correction: An earlier version of this article mistakenly said in the story's title that Vanness Wu is Korean. He is from Taiwan.)
