MANILA, Philippines - Actress and television host Carmina Villaroel said she and her ex-husband Rustom Padilla, now known as BB Gandanghari, are in good terms.
In an interview with Push.com.ph
, Villaroel said that she and Padilla had a chance to talk before the latter joined the Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) Celebrity Edition in 2006.
“Nagkita kami before siya sumali ng PBB. Naging okay naman kaming dalawa. Nag-usap kaming dalawa okay na,” she said.
In the said conversation, Villaroel said, they were able to clarify a lot of things and patch things up.
“Ang cute lang. Parang lang kaming magkaibigan lang talaga. Tama din lang ‘yung timing nung nakapag-usap kami. I’ve moved on with my life,” she said.
Asked to react about Padilla’s decision to come out of the closet, Villaroel replied, “Basta sa akin kung ano ang gusto mong gawin, kung ano ang makakapagpaligaya sayo, go for the gold! Basta wala ka namang inaapakang tao, gawin mo ‘di ba?”
In an earlier report
, Villaroel said that she is returning to ABS-CBN to do a special television show.
Sharing a few details about her upcoming show, she said, “Kahit ‘yung ABS-CBN ay gumawa ng isang talk show na kakaiba from the rest. I really can’t go into details pero mas may puso [ang show],”
Villaroel’s last show with the Kapamilya network was “Morning Girls” where she worked with singers Pops Fernandez and Zsa Zsa Padilla.
