MANILA, Philippines - Queen of All Media Kris Aquino said she is not closing her doors on the possibility of doing a project with Senator-actor Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. this year.

The only problem she sees is that people might think that her family is trying to influence the senator's vote in the ongoing impeachment trial of Chief Justice Renato Corona.

Aquino is the youngest sister of President Benigno Aquino III.

"Mahirap lang talaga mag-suggest ngayon while the impeachment trial is ongoing. Ayaw kong sabihin na sumisipsip kami sa kanya," she said.

"Alam mo naman hindi ba, lightning rod ako for controversy. So quiet na lang muna ako. Pero of course, I would welcome a teamup [with Revilla]. I've never worked with him in my life," she added.

Aquino said she would want to do a film with Revilla for her son, James Yap Jr., who loves fight scenes.

Revilla is known for his "Panday" action fantasy films.

"Gusto kong gumawa ng movie na... Actually what could sway me to work with Senator Bong is because that type of movie ang gugustuhing panoorin ni Bimby (James Yap Jr.). Kasi sinabihan niya ako na 'Mama, why don't you do a movie where there's karate [and fight scenes],'" Aquino said.

Break from MMFF

Aquino said she also wants to take a break from joining the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).

She said that instead of competing in the festival, which is held in December, she might have her next movie aired in cinemas in November.

Aquino's last movie is MMFF 2011 entry "Segunda Mano" with Dingdong Dantes.

"Kasi kino-convince ako ng ilang kumakausap sa amin to grab the last play date of November, 'yung third week of November. Na you get about seven weeks na iyong iyo talaga, at siguro iwas gulo," she said.

"Nagpaka-generous na sa akin ang manonood ng dalawang festival. So mas maganda siguro na don't push my luck," she added.

Currently, Aquino is gearing up for her television series with Anne Curtis.
