MANILA, Philippines - Actress Anne Curtis admitted that her newest television role is her most challenging one yet.
In the upcoming ABS-CBN series "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw", Curtis will portray the role of a stepmother for the first time.
This, she said, is completely different from her "wild child" roles.
"You know, I had so many wild child roles and I love doing it kasi each time ibang istorya ang ikukwento ng wild child. But this one is different kasi may time lapse na mangyayari. She grows up and each time she comes back para kitain ang [pamilya niya] ay nag-iiba ang pagkatao niya. And the very last time that she comes is when she stays eventually, when she has to take the role of a stepmother," Curtis said of her role in "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw", which also stars Robin Padilla and Kris Aquino.
"That's totally new to me kasi wala pa akong role na ganoon ever, wala pa. So nakakatawa noong nag-taping ako with Miles and Xyriel, sabi ko 'paano ko ba ito gagawin?' That's why it's so exciting and new for me," she added.
The actress said she is thrilled that her newest series will hit TV screens on January 28.
"Sobrang nakakakaba, nakakanerbiyos but at the same time, nakaka-excite kung ano ang reaction ng tao. Nakakatuwa kasi ang daming nag-aabang," she said.
Aside from "Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw," Curtis is also promoting her international film "Blood Ransom" which will be shown in movie theaters this year.
