MANILA -- Film director Wenn Deramas, who has so far made five movies with Vice Ganda in the lead role, said fans can expect more from their tandem on the big screen.

"Nagba-blood compact naman kami niyan, eh," Deramas told reporters on Thursday night, referring to the comedian, during a thanksgiving party for the success of "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy."

The 2013 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, which stars Vice Ganda as quadruplets of both sexes and different sexual orientations, now holds the record of being the highest grossing Philippine film of all time, according to producer Star Cinema.

"Hindi naman yata kami maghihiwalay," Deramas said on his showbiz ward. "Walang mangyayari para maghiwalay kami o para hindi kami gumawa ng pelikula. At magandang-maganda ang relationship namin ni Vice. Parang mag-nanay, eh. 'Mother' ang tawag sa akin niyan."

"So sa akin, hangga't may magandang kwento na kaya kong gawin at gusto niyang gawin, gagawa't gagawa kami para magpasaya lagi ng Pasko ng mga Pilipino," he said, referring to the Christmas Day opening of the annual MMFF.

Before "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy," the tandem scored consecutive box-office successes with yearly outings: "Petrang Kabayo" in 2012, followed by "The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin," "This Guy's In Love With U Mare," and "Sisterakas."

"The Unkabogable Praybeyt Benjamin" and "Sisterakas," in particular, were, at different times, the highest grossing local films of all time, until being beaten in earnings by the duo's latest output.

Deramas also credited his films' successes to screenwriter Mel del Rosario, who was involved in several of Vice Ganda's movies, including "Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy."

The director said del Rosario has already offered him a concept for a possible new film.

"Meron talaga siyang idea, eh. Tapos kinukumbunsi niya ako na, 'Sis, pahinga ka muna [tapos gawin natin].' Sabi ko, 'Tingnan natin!' Hindi naman natin alam kung ano ang mangyayari bukas," Deramas said.
