MANILA, Philippines – Is television host and actress Kris Aquino finally closing her doors on love?

Speaking before entertainment reporters during the press conference of her upcoming series “Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw”, Aquino made it clear that she is currently not looking for love since she is already happy with her two sons, Josh and James Jr.

“Hindi talaga ako... kasi masaya talagang matulog at gumising at hindi ka stressed at hindi ka inaaway. And hindi mo kailangan i-lessen ang success mo para lang makibagay sa iba,” she said.

Aquino also clarified that there is nothing going on between her and Brazilian-Japanese model Daniel Matsunaga, who is being linked to her recently.

“You know he’s a nice person but I don’t know him well enough. He’s so young, honestly. Sa lahat naman na pinagdaanan ng life ko, tama na,” she said.

Asked why her “Sisterakas” co-star Vice Ganda keeps on teasing her to Matsunaga, Aquino replied: “Inaasar lang ako ni Vice dahil alam niyang napipikon ako. Sinasabi ko talaga ‘Stop it kasi nagagalit si Bimb.’”

According to Aquino, she’d rather not be with someone because people would always have something to say about her relationship.

“Even my sisters said na the level of sincerity, they will always judge. Even if sabihin natin na sobrang successful na negosyante, kawawa rin siya kasi sasabihin ‘My God may kontrata iyan sa gobyernong gustong isara.’ Or kung politician naman, sasabihin gusto lang ma-ensure na mag number one,” she explained.

Having said this, Aquino thinks she is “born to be a mother, but not a wife.”
