According to the latest TV ratings data of the multinational market research group Kantar Media, the opening episode of the ABS-CBN series' second chapter earned 36.3% in national TV ratings.

On the other hand, the pilot episode of its new competing program, GMA-7's "Indio", only garnered a nationwide rating of 22.7%.

Dubbed "Gabi ng Katotohanan", the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" episode last Monday saw Kim Chiu's character Celyn confronted with the truth about her identity.

The series' Book 2 opening marked its all-time highest TV rating nationwide, since it first aired in October 2012.

The reception to the "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" episode among netizens also reached fever-pitch last Monday.

On micro-bloggging site Twitter, moments after "Gabi ng Katotohanan" aired, the show's title became a local trending topic. "Cherry Pie", meanwhile, became a worldwide trending topic on the same night.

Actress Cherry Pie Picache portrays Celyn's mother in the series.

Also starring Maja Salvador, Janice de Belen, Ariel Rivera, Enchong Dee and Xian Lim, "Ina, Kapatid, Anak" airs weeknights after "Princess and I" during ABS-CBN's Primetime Bida block.

Kantar Media uses a nationwide panel size of 2,609 urban and rural homes, more than AGB Nielsen’s 1,980 homes that are only based in urban areas. Kantar Media’s panel represents 100% of the total Philippine TV viewing population, while AGB Nielsen reportedly represents only 57% of the Philippine TV viewing population.
