MANILA – Hoping to replicate the success it achieved in 2013, the Hollywood studio Warner Bros. has released its full movie line-up for 2014.
With a total worldwide gross of $5.035 billion last year, Warner Bros. was named the top-grossing studio of 2013. The record also made Warner Bros. only the second studio in the history to have crossed the $5-billion mark.
The 2014 line-up is a combination of fantasy, family, comedy and drama features.
The Lego Movie
What is it: Popular Lego mini-figures make their big-screen debut on February. Voiced by popular comedians Chris Pratt, Will Ferrell and Elizabeth Banks, the minifigures will try to save the entire Lego universe with the help of an old Lego wizard and Lego Batman.
300: Rise of an Empire
What is it: "Rise of the Empire" is the highly anticipated sequel to the action film "300." The movie tells the story of how Greek ancient hero Themystocles fought against the Persian Empire. The film stars Australian actor Sullivan Stapleton and will premiere early March.

What is it: The popular kaiju film franchise will make a comeback in May with stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston in the lead roles. In the movie, Godzilla will be pitted against other monsters who “threaten humankind's’ very existence."
Edge of Tomorrow
What is it: Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt star in this futuristic science-fiction movie premiering early June. Cruise and Blunt play two soldiers who must go head-to-head against an alien race in order to save the world.

What is it: Following the worldwide success of “The Wedding Singer” and “50 First Dates,” Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore will again team up in this romantic comedy flick. The movie will be released in the US in May.
What is it: Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis will star in "Jupiter Ascending," a science-fiction movie directed by the Wachowski siblings. Tatum will play an interplanetary warrior set to kill future universe leader Jupiter Jones, played by Kunis. The movie will open in July.

What is it: Acclaimed director Clint Eastwood returns to the big screen with "Jersey Boys," a movie that chronicles the rise and struggle of real-life musical group The Four Seasons and its members. The film will premiere late June.
What is it: Joaquin Phoenix and Reese Witherspoon will reunite in "Inherent Vice," a movie that tells the story of a detective searching for his ex-girlfriend who disappeared in Los Angeles. The film will be directed by Academy Award-nominated director Paul Thomas Anderson.
This is Where I Leave You
What is it: Tina Fey and Jason Bateman star in a movie adaptation of a bestselling novel. "This is Where I Leave You" is about four dysfunctional siblings who were reunited during their father’s funeral. The film premieres in September.
What is it: Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Jessica Chastain lead the all-star cast of Interstellar, a science fiction film written and directed by Christopher Nolan. The film, which premieres early November, is based on the concepts of time travel, alternate dimensions and wormholes.
The Hobbit: There and Back Again
What is it: Warner Bros. will end 2014 with the third and final installment of "The Hobbit" series. Based on the popular novel by J.R.R. Tolkien, the movie sees Bilbo Baggins reaching the end of his journey in Middle-earth. The Peter Jackson-directed feature will be released in December.
