MANILA – James Reid and Nadine Lustre’s upcoming second major concert will be "like watching a concert and a film at the same time.”
This was how the couple teased their show, which will be staged at the Araneta Coliseum on February 9.
“Mas masho-showcase po namin 'yung music po namin and kung sino po kami talaga as artists. Hindi lang po as celebrities unlike last time na may connect pa rin po sa teleserye. This time po talaga, more on the musical side po namin ang ipapakita namin,” said Lustre.
Aside from it being film-like, Lustre said they would also have their respective “shining moments” onstage.
“Talagang meron pong times na meron akong solo spot and then meron din siya and, of course, meron din kaming mga guests. Sobrang exciting po ito para sa amin talaga,” she said.
As of writing, the two have yet to rehearse for their performances but they have already shot some VTRs, which they would be shown during the concert.
Among their special guests are Sam Concepcion, Kiana Valenciano, Bret Jackson, Vice Ganda and Sarah Geronimo.
Meanwhile, both admitted that they did not foresee their 2018 to be a really busy one.
“Actually ngayon po, medyo naninibago kami kasi medyo matagal din kaming nawala parehas so parang new year, ang dami naming bagong project. We are really thankful talaga na hanggang ngayon, kahit medyo matagal po kaming nag-lie low ng kaunti, tuluy-tuloy pa din 'yung pagbibigay sa amin ng projects,” Lustre said.
According to the couple, they will shoot two movies together this year and they also have separate big screen projects.
When asked how they feel to be working apart, Reid said: “Strangely, it’s not too weird. Actually ‘Miss Grany’ is my first project not with Nadine. It’s not that weird.”
What’s important, Reid said, is that they support each other’s projects.
