MANILA, Philippines - Actor Gerald Anderson pleaded to media not to ask him anymore about his failed romance with singer Sarah Geronimo.

This comes after Geronimo turned emotional last Thursday as she defended her parents who are being suspected of meddling with their daughter's budding romance with Anderson.

In an interview with entertainment website on Sunday, Anderson said he is done talking about the same issue over and over.

“For the last time po, sana tama na. Respetuhin na lang natin. 'Yun na lang ang sasabihin ko, ayoko nang humaba pa," he said.

Asked if he has ill feelings towards Geronimo or her family, the actor said: “Wala, never, never.”

Cristine Reyes and Gerald Anderson emote as their characters in "Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin" during the cast's pictorial.

Anderson said he’d rather focus on his career this 2013 than to further fuel the fire of controversies involving him and the singer.

The Kapamilya actor is set headline another television series along with Cristine Reyes, Rayver Cruz, Maricel Soriano, Dina Bonnevie, Diana Zubiri and Tonton Gutierrez.

“Nag-TVC [commercial] shoot na kami so sana abangan ninyo," he said. “Okay naman. Kinakabahan ako, [makatrabaho si Ms. Maricel] pero kumbaga dahil sa kanya, mas naging kumportable ako. Christmas gift ko para sa lahat ‘yan.”

In the Kapamilya soap, childhood friends Amanda (Reyes) and Miguel (Anderson) temporarily part as she leaves to stay in another country.

Their sweet reunion is cut short however, as Miguel lands behind bars. This motivates Amanda to pursue her dream of becoming a lawyer, in the hope of helping free the man she loves.

According to Anderson, they will begin taping their series next week.
