MANILA – Television host Boy Abunda neither confirmed nor denied speculations that his best friend, Kris Aquino, will be leaving ABS-CBN supposedly to hold a key position at a rival network.

Speaking on “Buzz ng Bayan” on Sunday, Abunda said Aquino and the management of ABS-CBN are continuously having talks and that no decision has yet been reached.

“Patuloy na nag-uusap ang ABS-CBN management at si Ms. Kris Aquino pero walang paalamanan na nangyari,” he said.

Saying he does not want to preempt any decision Aquino would make, Abunda said: “[Siya ay] kasalukuyan pong nasa Europa, nagpapahinga, nagbabakasyon kasama ang kanyang mga anak. She will explain, she will answer this question better than I do. Hihintayin natin iyon.”

In a post in her Instagram account on Sunday, Aquino thanked her supporters for “caring very much” about her future plans.

Aquino added she will continue to "believe in God’s plan" for her life this 2014.

“Thank You for caring very much about my future plans. For all those who understand that my decisions in life are most influenced by my sons, thank you,” she said.

The award-winning TV host said she is just "fulfilling a promise" to her mom that she will do everything to ensure the comfort and well-being of eldest son, Joshua.

Despite this, Aquino maintained that she has yet to make a decision.

“No decision has been made, negotiations are ongoing, I simply explained what's in my heart,” she said.

Aquino, whose contract with ABS-CBN reportedly expired in October 2013 and has yet to be renewed, has been in showbiz since 1992.
