MANILA, Philippines - A number of Filipino celebrities will be part of the much-awaited film "Bourne Legacy" starring Hollywood star Jeremy Renner.

Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairman Francis Tolentino confirmed the news but declined to identify the celebrities joining the film.

He said preparations for the shoot in several locations in Metro Manila are already finished.

The MMDA chief said the film's cameraman is now in Manila and that a group from Entertainment Tonight will arrive soon.

MMDA creates Task Force Bourne

Aside from heavy traffic, Tolentino said that one of the problems they foresee are the numbers of onlookers who would want to witness the filming of Hollywood film "Bourne Legacy."

He said he has formed a task force that will help assist in the production.

The chairman asked for the understanding of Filipinos, since the film would also help in promoting not only Metro Manila but the entire country.

Film won't denigrate PH

Tolentino said he already read the script of the upcoming film and he is sure that the country would not be put in a bad light.

He added that MMDA would make sure to advise the public if there will be major scenes that would affect major thoroughfares.

"Ang gagawin namin tuwing may major scenes na sa tingin namin ay makakagambala sa trapiko ay mag-a-abiso kami 2 or 3 days before kung saan ang rerouting," he said.
