MANILA – Andi Eigenmann admitted she felt hurt when Manila Mayor Joseph Estrada decided to keep mum when asked if he is in favor of the actress for his son, Jake Ejercito.
In an interview with “Buzz ng Bayan” last December 15, Estrada just replied with “no comment” when asked if he likes the Eigenanmann for Ejercito.
“Siyempre po masakit kasi nakakapanliit siya and parang medyo judgmental po ang dating,” the actress told the show.
Saying she is left with no choice but to respect Ejercito’s parents, the “Galema” actress added: “Wala naman po akong magagawa. Kailangan kong respetuhin kung ano ang sinasabi nila kasi sila po ang magulang ni Jake. They know what’s best for their son.”
Eigenmann, however, vowed to prove herself to Ejercito’s parents.
“Sila ang nagpalaki so dapat naman po sila ang masusunod. But at the same time, nandito po ako para ipakita na hindi ako dapat i-dislike for their son. Una sa lahat, totoo naman po 'yung nararamdaman ko para sa kanya. Pangalawa, hindi naman po akong masamang tao,” she said.
Despite this admission, Eigenmann clarified that she and Ejercito are not in a relationship.
“People always think that I am lying kasi kapag umuuwi siya, nakikita kami at napi-picture-an. Sinasabi ko naman 'yung totoo, I really do care for him a lot but he’s not based here. Ayaw po naming ipilit ang mga bagay na hindi naman po puwede. I’ve always been honest about my feelings for him naman,” she said.
Ejercito is currently based abroad to finish his college degree.
