MANILA -- Paulo Avelino's character in the upcoming Kapamilya series "Kahit Konting Pagtingin" is a decidedly more tame portrayal compared to the "psychotic" Nathan in "Walang Hanggan."
"Lance Ledesma is more laid-back, very relaxed siya, but he has a hidden side na hindi niya pwede mapakita sa pamilya niya," the 24-year-old actor told "Showbiz Inside Report" in an interview that aired Saturday.
According to Avelino, he also portrays the brother of Sam Milby's character in the upcoming romantic-comedy series.
Directed by Darnel Villaflor, "Kahit Konting Pagtingin" is the series debut of singer Angeline Quinto.
"Si Angeline sobrang nakakatawa siya," Avelino said of his leading lady. "Malapit talaga 'yung personality niya sa character na ginagampanan niya."
In a sneak peek of the series released earlier, Quinto is seen as the feisty and resourceful Aurora, who earns a living by taking on numerous jobs like being a bus conductor and a waitress.
The preview video also gives a glimpse of a car accident said to have a life-changing impact on Quinto's character.
"Ang kailangan nilang abangan sa 'Kahit Konting Pagtingin ay ang misteryosong babae na ginagampanan ni Angeline," Avelino said, "At kung anong mangyayari sa pamilya namin ngayong dumating siya."
The upcoming series is Quinto's second major acting project after co-starring with Coco Martin in Star Cinema's "Born to Love You."
Set to premiere this month on ABS-CBN, the romantic-comedy series also stars John Lapus, Tommy Abuel, Aljhon Lucas, Alexandra Macanan, Junee Gamboa, James Blanco and Mylene Dizon.
