Filipina-American teen Kriesha Tiu welcomed the new year with her latest single, "Like Paradise."
Tiu released her first mini album "Dream of Paradise" on Wednesday, along with the music video for the carrier single.
"Like Paradise" was produced by Flow Blow and co-composed by Hui, a member of Korean boy group Pentagon.
Tiu was one of the finalists of "K-Pop Star 6." She and her group KWINs, which also includes other contestants Kim SoHee and Kim HyeRin, lost to Boyfriend, a duo composed of Kim JongSeo and Park HyunJin, in the show's finals.
Also known as Chrisha Choo, Tiu was scouted by Urban Works while she was in San Francisco, California. She then flew to Korea with her mother and younger brother.
Tiu is originally from Cebu.
She was eliminated from "K-Pop Star 6" back in January but was brought back on the show after being saved by the judges.
She released her debut single "Trouble" in May 2017.
