MANILA -- "Home Sweetie Home," ABS-CBN's upcoming family sitcom starring John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga, also stars showbiz veterans and young actors as the couple's respective families.
The full cast of the series, which will air after "Goin' Bulilit" starting Sunday, is introduced in a three-minute video on ABS-CBN's YouTube page.
Cruz and Gonzaga portray newly weds Romy and Julie. He is a medical representative who happens to be a ladies' man; she is a teacher who turns jealous at the sight of women near her husband.
Rico J. Puno portrays Romy's father, Daddy V, himself a charmer who has a way with women. Sandy Andolong plays Julie's mother, Loi, who has yet to be convinced of Romy's good intentions for her daughter.
Loi prefers Julie to end up with her long-time suitor JJ, played by Jason Gainza, who remains smitten with the teacher even as she gets married to Romy.
Playing Julie's siblings Gigi and Renz are Miles Ocampo and Clarence Delgado, respectively. Her best friend and co-teacher Candy, from whom she gets advice about Romy, is portrayed by Eda Nolan.
Romy, on the other hand, has confidants in his childhood friends Chris and Glenn, played by Joross Gamboa and Ketchup Eusebio, respectively.
"Home Sweetie Home," which marks the second team-up of Cruz and Gonzaga after the 2010 blockbuster movie "My Amnesia Girl," centers on their characters as newly weds sharing a home with their respective families.
