“Sa isang punto ng bawa’t buhay, may ulan na siguradong darating. Para sa iba, ito ay biyaya mula sa itaas na dapat ipagpasalamat. O kaya’y tila unos na kailangang harapin at labanan. Ito’y dumarating nang di inaasahan. Pero tumitila din sa kalaunan. At sa init at liwanag ng araw, madalas nakikita ang bungang maganda ng pinagdaanan ng ulan.”

Vida Verde

Vida Verde was one of the most bankable stars in 80’s. Blessed with a pretty face, a voluptuous body and the confidence of a promising starlet, it was no doubt that she was dubbed the “pantasya ng bayan” during her time.

In this episode, Vida Verde shares a new chapter of her life. Healing herself from an unpleasant childhood, a dark showbiz past, and three failed relationships, Vida now faces another storm.

She was diagnosed with breast cancer and lost both her breasts to radical mastectomy.  And just when she thought her life has had enough obstacles, she is faced once again with another battle. Doctors told her that her liver is in a bad state and another lump, this time  in her ovary, was found.

Vida Verde faces a new storm in her life and shares her story in a one-on-one interview with Korina.

Back in Tumainini, Isabela, Vida’s hometown, she tries her best to make ends meet with her P3,500 salary as a barangay kagawad.

Vida doing the laundry by the river, riding a tricycle and going to the town market all by herself are all usual sights.

But despite all difficulties and feeling alone while her children build lives of their own in Metro Manila, she remains hopeful that heavens will soon give her better health  and a new chance in life.

Ondoy Wedding

September 26, 2009 was Tyrone and Vivian’s big day. The wedding of their dreams took one year of meticulous planning. Everything was prepared ahead.

But no one was prepared for the widespread monster flooding brought by Ondoy. It was one of the biggest disasters that hit Metro Manila. But not even Ondoy can stop Tyrone and Vivian from committing to a love that’s bound to last forever.

Tyrone and Vivian reached San Sebastian Church by riding their unusual wedding car – a firetruck!

The wedding went on, but not exactly how they planned it. The entourage, even Vivian’s parents failed to reach the church. Choir members, fire volunteers and the church’s security guards became their instant entourage and guests. It was probably the most unusual wedding witnessed in San Sebastian Church. But everyone had a grand time with the couple in a celebration of a love that knows no boundaries.

The church was almost empty except for the fire volunteers, choir members and church security guards who became instant guests.

Tyrone and Vivian plan to renew their wedding vows soon.
