OSAKA - Sharp Corp. said Tuesday it has released a new line of Aquos brand televisions in Indonesia with 90-inch liquid crystal display panels, the largest available in the country, as it seeks to attract wealthy consumers in the growing southeast Asian market.

The Osaka-based firm has set a nominal price of around 1.65 million yen for the model, already launched in Malaysia. It also plans to sell the product in Singapore, Vietnam and the Philippines.

Sharp will produce the LCD panels for the model at its Sakai plant in Osaka and Kameyama plant in Mie Prefecture, and assemble television sets at its plant in Malaysia.
