MANILA - Jollibee Foods Corp said Wednesday it was complying with government regulations against "endo" or labor-only contracting, as it dealt with a labor complaint.
The country's largest fastfood operator issued the statement after The Manila Times reported that the company was ordered to regularize 468 employees in the Mimaropa region and pay back P775,050 in unauthorized deductions.
"JFC is compliant with the law and Department Order No. 174 and continues to be cooperative with all DOLE (Department of Labor and Employment) requirements and procedures," Jollibee said.
Jollibee said the decision in the labor case was not not final and subject to appeal.
