MANILA, Philippines - Shares rallied to another record high on Tuesday as it breached 5,800 points.
The Philippine Stock Exchange index gained 1.29% or 73.96 points to close at 5,831.5, while the broader all shares climbed 0.87% or 32.31 points to 3,728.7.
All six sub-indices were in the green except for industrial firms, which lost 0.11% or 9.58 points to finish at 8,872.66.
Holding firms were the largest gainers, rising 2.33% or 116.71 points to 5,135.74, while property firms increased 1.93% or 42.96 points to 2,264.85.
Mining and oil companies went up 1.46% or 266.71 points to 18,524.26, while the services sector climbed 0.62% or 10.79 points to 1,758.6.
Financial firms, meanwhile, gained 0.54% or 8.31 points to close at 1,551.76.
Advancers on Tuesday were led by Concrete Aggregates Corp., shares of which closed 32.81% or P21 higher at P85 apiece.
Decliners were led by Manchester International Holdings Unlimited Corp., shares of which declined 33.96% or P5.74 to P11.16.
