MANILA, Philippines -- After breaking its seven-day winning streak yesterday, the Philippine Stock Exchange index is back in the green with another record close today.
The PSEi soared 1.33% or 75.92 points to settle at 5,763.64, while the broader all shares index gained 0.92% or 33.89 points to 3,703.60.
Among today's gainers are Philippine Seven Corp., owner of 7-11, with an 8.3% gain, and Megaworld Corp., which climbed 4.9%. Philippine Long Distance Telephone Co. (PLDT) is also up by 2.75%.
Analysts said the outlook remains bullish and any dips can be interpreted as an opportunity to buy stocks. - ANC
