MANILA, Philippines - The Good Governance Advocates and Practitioners of the Philippines (GGAPP) will conduct a seminar about the latest issues and trends in corporate governance on December 7, 2:30 p.m. at the Lighthouse, Lopez Building in Meralco compound along Ortigas Avenue, Pasig City.
Titled "Tips and Traps: A Discussion on the Experiences of US and Global Companies in Ethics, Compliance and Corporate Governance," the seminar aims to educate business executives on the evolving global regulatory environment, innovative practices on governance evaluation and monitoring, employee help line and whistle-blowing systems, and other practical and effective methods to promote good governance and right conduct.
Steve Priest, founder of the Ethical Leadership Group and Senior Advisor to New York-based Global Compliance, will be the key resource speaker in the event.
Priest has conducted seminars on business ethics in 40 countries and has spoken before organizations like Conference Board, Institute of Internal Auditors,Association of General Counsels and the Ethics and Compliance Officer Association.
Prior to founding the Ethical Leadership Group in 1993, Priest was executive director of the Center for Ethics and Corporate Policy, an ethics think tank in Chicago. He also served as program director of the Conference Board's Ethics Conference.
