MANILA - The government is reviewing several unsolicted proposals for infrastructure projects, Public Works and Highways Secretary Mark Villar said Wednesday.

These include an elevated expressway from Manila to Pasay City that was pitched by SM Investments and Ayala Infrastructure and a road that will connect to the Cavite Laguna Expressway that was proposed by Metro Pacific Investments Corp, Villar said.

Villar said the government would break ground on 2 Chinese-funded bridges in Metro Manila as early as January next year.

Excluding the unsolicited proposals, President Rodrigo Duterte has laid out an P8-trillion pipeline of new roads, bridges, airports and railways to boost economic growth and solve traffic jams in urban centers.
