MANILA - Philippine financial markets are closed today and on Nov. 1 and 2 for public holidays.
The presidential palace declared Oct. 26, a holiday to mark Eidul Adha, or Feast of Sacrifice, a Muslim religious celebration marking the end of the annual pilgrimage to Mecca. Markets will reopen on Oct. 29.
The government has also declared Friday, Nov. 2, a holiday to allow Filipinos to observe a longer All Saints' Day holiday, which falls on Nov. 1. Markets will reopen on Nov. 5.
