MANILA (UPDATE) - A gallery of Philippine cinema's sexiest in red bikinis posing beside white horses welcomes visitors to the private museum of Destileria Limtuaco that tells 160 years of history through an intoxicating array of spirits.
Liquor bottles, crates, tax certificates, telephones and machines roughly eight times the age of reigning White Castle Whisky girl, Meg Imperial, are on display in the wood and brick museum in Intramuros.
ANC's "The Boss" was given an exclusive tour by Destileria Limtuaco CEO Olivia Limpe-aw.
"We have plans to open it because so many people have asked us to open and make it available to the public. So, we are taking up their challenge to open this museum," Limpe-aw said.
“It's really an honor for us to share our company’s history with the public," she added.
White Castle is one of the most popular of the company's brands, backed by five generations of master blenders of whisky, brandy, gin, rum, vodka, tequila, herbal wine and medicinal wine.
The White Castle Girls has become a touchstone for filmdom's sexiest during certain years. From calendars plastered on truck ceilings to primetime TV commercials, the campaign has evolved to videos on YouTube.
Past "White Castle Girls" include multi-awarded actress Lorna Tolentino, pioneering sexy comedienne Carmi Martin, sexy star-turned-politician Cristina Gonzalez, dancer-actress Angela Velez and former "Star Circle" finalist Quest Roxanne Guinoo. -- Reports from Cathy Yang, ABS-CBN News
