MANILA, Philippines - Digital marketing agency Yehey! Corp. on Thursday listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange by way of introduction.
Yehey listed 278 million common shares at an initial price of P1 per share.
Yehey general manager and CEO Jose Carlos Arellano is confident the company will not suffer the same fate as Facebook as its revenues are not coming from advertisements but on digital services it provides clients. Around 80% of Yehey's revenues come from digital marketing.
"I think what differentiates us, Yehey, as a digital agency is we take time to create our own technology for our benefit and our clients' benefit. For example, our in-house email marketing software that would allow companies to do their email marketing. We have wi-fi advertising, which SM is availing right now. All 44 malls, equipped with free wi-fi, we are the reseller of their advertising for the mobile phones and laptops. We are a more technology-driven company," Arellano told ANC.
The company started in 1997 as a web portal before shifting to its current form.
Now, Yehey is relaunching its portal, but this time with content from Filipino bloggers.
"We coined it as a blog-gregator, it aggregates Filipino blog content. We curate it so we put the best of the best of the blogs in the Philippines," Arellano said. - With ANC
