MANILA - Insurance provider FWD Life Philippines said Friday it launched a dollar-denominated insurance and investment plan.
With a minimum $20,000 investment, Filipinos can tap into the single-payment fund, which is invested in FWD's Global US Dollar Equity Index Fund, the company said.
The global fund is invested in top corporations including Apple, Microsoft, Facebook, Amazon, Samsung, Alibaba, and Toyota, FWD Life Philippines said.
"The plan brings the power of global investing closer to the Filipino and offers long-term growth potential with high potential returns at well-diversified risks," it said.
All benefits from the instrument are paid out in dollars, the company said.
A relative newcomer in the Philippine market, FWD Life last year offered a first of its kind insurance against terrorism.
